HE will provide!

Look, 2 posts in 1 day. :)

If you follow my 365 blog, I blogged about "being still" a week or so ago. Well, this is something I have done since we put up the hammock months ago. My husband is going through yet another health crisis. I am frustrated by it all and yes, I am worried, I just show it with frustration. Back in late April or May he was in the ICU. Many of you know that Marc works on commission, there is no sick pay. If he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. Since I stay at home with the kids, being out of work is really not an option. I was wrestling with God one afternoon/evening. Basically stressing over stuff. Okay...it was our finances I was stressing over. I was upset and crying out to God that afternoon. I don't know if it was audible or just that feeling...either way it said or I felt "why are you worried? Don't you know I will provide?" Duh, of course I know that, but apparently, I had my doubts. Well, that afternoon, probably night by the time I came in, I felt a huge relief. A ton of bricks....or house, car, insurance, etc, had been lifted off of me. Sure enough God provided just enough to get by. Now back in April or whenever the stimulus payment schedule came out I was really frustrated. I wanted the money NOW! We are doing a total money makeover right now, so I have stuff I want to pay off. We were going to use the whole thing for debt...and maybe a dinner out. Here we are! We should be getting the check this week. Marc won a bed and sold it to a friend. We are getting the money this week. Well, my husbands health crisis will keep him out of work for a week. God is so great in His timing. Already we are provided for...not how I planned to use the money. Hopefully, we will be able to still pay off the 2 accounts we really want to, but if not. The money will supplement his paycheck which as I stated earlier...he works on commission. Of course now I am wondering what God might be up to...probably not the best thing to do. I found some "unclaimed" money. Thank you to the tracer who kept sending me forms wanting to get it for me. Don't worry, I found it myself. I didn't want to pay someone else to get money that was ours anyway. Well, who knows how long it will be before we get through the redtape to get that money. I have to wonder if it is God's way of providing for yet another crisis. Either way, I trust God! Whatever crisis we have to go through, He is right there with us. The day on the hammock months ago, I felt as if I were being held by my dad. I was! I was being held and comforted. I was being reassured that everything was going to be ok. I can rest tonight in that promise. Everything is going to be ok.

  1. That is great. sometimes in our busy lives, we forget about being still. I know I haven't had a be still time for quite a while. I might have to schedule one in pretty soon.
