Homeschooling Hannah

I know I have probably shared this before, but who would have ever thought I would be a homeschooling mom? Surely not me!

We just wrapped up our 3rd year of homeschooling. In that time we covered 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade! We still have a little catching up to do in math...I think. We just work until she knows it, and then move on. I have no idea what the "new" grade level math actually is, because TEKS have changed. I don't really even care. She will be on track before she graduates high school. It appears writing will be our struggle. The struggle is real too!!! Right now my plan is to work with her one more year, then put her in a writing class. Caleb just finished a class, and I think it helped him. My plan for Hannah is:
5th grade-here...hopefully I don't beat my head against the wall too much.
6th grade- Sentence writing class
7th grade- Sentence to Paragraph class (Caleb took this one)
8th grade- Paragraph to Essay class (Caleb is taking this one next year)

She will get there!!!

Wait what? My baby is a 5th grader!!!!!! How did that happen? Can I cry now? Time slow down!!! I remember those LONG days of toddlerhood and having 4 babies trailing me like ducks. Those days seemed like they would never end. Now here I am with an 18 year old headed to California Baptist in just a few short months. Time slow down! I have a 16 year old who will start dual credit at Lone Star College in a few short months. Time slow down! I have a 13 year old who is taking more classes with other teachers than me next year, as a way to start preparing him for high school and dual credit. Wow! Caleb is high school! Time slow down. My baby is in her last year of elementary.

I have never even thought about what my life would be like when I wasn't surrounded by my babies. Now, it seems like I am speeding down to the end.

And, I am going to stop now or I will start crying!!!
