I had a pretty good weekend! To avoid many grammatical errors, I am just going to do a bullet list. That is all my mushy brain can handle right now.
Saturday-busy fun, not busy stressful
- Music lessons-my bigs are doing GREAT (bigs=Josh and Samantha)
- Chiropractors 6th anniversary party-Caleb and I got a free chair massage.
- Mall with only 1 kid-Josh had a hair appointment, and I bought an outfit (dark colors (of course) for singers).
- Caleb's birthday celebration with my mom-I had sugar on Saturday. By the way, how on earth is that boy already EIGHT?
- High 5 kids sang in church in the morning-this included the middles, and I got to wear jeans and my red High 5 t-shirt to church. (the middles=Caleb and Samantha)
- We were missing about 1/3 of the kids, probably due to the rain, but it made for an easy transition though church.
- Samantha got to do the Lord's Supper for the first time.
- It rained!!!! All day!!!!!
- The kids and I had a nice lunch.
- The kids were well behaved during our Christmas choir rehearsal.
- I enjoyed the people I sat around during Christmas rehearsal...don't judge, but some people just make things more fun ;)
- I got to hang around and chat with the choir member high 5 leaders before the evening service (I don't get to just chat very often, since I am always running after kids).
- A friend did a Starbucks run, and I had a real drink instead of just coffee...read that to mean that I had sugar.
- The sugar kind of wired me, causing the opposite effect of the painkiller I took after lunch.
- The last service was really good.
- The kids and I just talked all the way home.
Monday came in with a bang...or a cry...or a cough. Around midnight Caleb came into my room freaking out. He couldn't breathe and was coughing horribly. We were worried that maybe he fell asleep with something in his mouth and had something stuck in his throat. Marc wanted me to take him to the ER, but I wasn't so sure. I finally got him calmed down, and his breathing back to normal. He freaked out when he started coughing. His nose was stuffy, and I think he was breathing out of his mouth. His junk got stuck in his throat and he couldn't cough it out, and sleeping with his mouth open made his throat sore. I rubbed some vicks vapor rub on his shirt, propped his pillows up next to me, and worked on keeping him calm. He went back to sleep. I kept him home today, because he has a barky cough, and his throat still hurt this morning. That boy is FINE now!!!!
We got our errands done early, and are just chilling before our back-to-back-to back evening. What does that mean? That means football game at 4:45, softball game at 6:00, and baseball game at 7:30. I even managed to clean the kitchen and get laundry done this morning.
I guess that is enough rambling from me!
