Hi friends! I just want to update you on Caleb. We were having some issues with his eczema. To put it simply, it was getting out of control. I blogged about it Friday...see the above link. Well, let me tell you...those doctors are going to think I am nutty! His legs look normal...as normal as a kid with severe eczema can look. They are white! There is not a trace of red rash, OR scabs, OR blisters. The legs that were borderline infection. The leg that had a rash traveling from his foot up his leg looks amazing! It doesn't look like he has had a flare in MONTHS! The other spots on his back, chest, and face that were very irritated are also clear. He does not look like the same kid from Thursday! The only trouble area is on his arms. Right now it is a red rash that covers both of his arms, but there isn't an open area or scab anywhere. I am just in awe! I know it is not the result of any treatments we have done, but the result of prayer. We have been through all of these treatments before, and NOTHING I can physically do works that fast!!! Thank you friends for your prayers!!!!
I am still taking him to the dermatologist tomorrow. His doctor is leaving the practice, and I want to see her before she leaves. We are also very low on all of the prescription creams we have. Many are even expired, because it has been so long since we have had to go.
Some of you remember January 2010. It was the last time Caleb went to the dermatologist. After that visit I asked for prayer, because we...HE really needed it at that time. If you have never read that post, please do! CLICK HERE It gives a little background of what eczema is for my boys versus what eczema is for most kids. It also shows how wonderful our GOD is!!!! I don't know if I ever came back to formally update from that post, but given the fact that we did not have to go back to the doctor from that time until now shows the power of prayer!
I am so thankful for each and every one of YOU!
