Hannah wore her pajamas all day yesterday. That includes to baseball and softball practice last night. She is still wearing THOSE pajamas today.

Disney World-Day 2
I confess, I had to go back and look at the photos to find out what we did on day 2. I used to be so good at updating the blog...what happened? We spent day 2 at Epcot...also known as the golf ball park. It was a fun day with LOTS of characters, and LOTS of photos.
Hannah got to ride Test Track for the first time. She would scream, and then laugh, and then scream again. She decided she didn't like when it went really fast in a circle outside. She also got to ride Soarin'. She got a little scared when we first went up in the air. In the end, she LOVED it! We also did quite a bit of the educational stuff there too.We found Nemo!
The line for the Character spot was not enormously long. We knew we couldn't pass it up for the sake of Hannah. She LOVED getting to see all of the characters. Her favorite is Pluto! I think we had 4 or 5 different Pluto's sign her book.
We had dinner with the Princesses at Akershus in Norway. Oh my goodness Hannah LOVED this. The princesses would come to the table and talk to her. Then they would sign her book and give her a hug. The food was excellent too!
After dinner we staked out our spot for Illuminations, Epcot's firework/laser show. We had a really good spot. Momma bear only had to come out once when a mom had her kid step over and nearly on the stroller to get closer. Caleb was sitting in the stroller at the time. The kid would have ended up standing right in front of him. There was lots of laying around, and of course lots of goofiness while we waited.
Here is a shot of the show!
You would think after a long day in the park they would sleep instantly!

Conversation with Hannah
This conversation took place Sunday morning on the way to church.
Me: Hannah what is your Bible verse?
Hannah: Genesis 1:1
Me: What does it say?
Hannah: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Me: You're awesome!
Hannah: No, I am pretty!
Me: Yes ma'am you are pretty.
Good thing I didn't have my coffee yet! I might have ended up spitting it all over myself. We got a good laugh out of it. This is the verse she is learning at Mother's Day Out.

Hello blog world!
I remember last year thinking that when school started I would be able to get caught up with my blogging. I also remember it not happening. How can I be so busy when I only have ONE kid at home during the day? Who knows? Anyway, today is the 3rd day of school. I have pictures from the first day, but they are still on my camera. So far the kids are loving school. Josh likes the freedom he has in Junior High. Samantha likes having more stuff to do at the Intermediate school, and Caleb is just Caleb. He was initially worried about riding the bus without a sibling, but he is doing great!
Hannah is adjusting nicely too. I signed her up for a Mother's day out program. It starts September 6. She is so excited...so excited she will ask me a gazillion times a day when she gets to go to "school". I am excited to have some time for me. I have had a kid hanging off of me for over 12 years now. What on earth am I going to do with myself?
High Five starts tonight. For those that don't know, that is kids choir. I get to be a helper again this year...so exciting!!! It is Samantha's last year in kids choir. I can't believe how fast the time is going. My big baby girl is growing up on me. Hannah gets to join tonight! She is going to be so excited. She has wanted to be able to sing on stage forever.
Wednesday does have its downside. To make it to church on time AND eat dinner I have to pick the kids up from school. I have 3 kids at 3 different schools! My car rider wait time will start around 2:45. Caleb gets out at 3:05. From there we go wait at the Intermediate school. It lets out at 3:45. You have to be in that line early, or you are there 20+ minutes. From there we go to the Junior High for Josh. This is a new one for me. I think they let out at 4:00...I really don't know. I know my cousin picks up her intermediate kids before the junior high kids, so I will do the same. I hope we will make it to the church before 5:00, but I am not hopeful with it being the first week of school. I will have to register Hannah, Caleb, and Samantha for kids choir and be ready to greet kids around 5:30. I am so excited for a new year.
Did I tell you all we got a puppy? It has been so long since I blogged, I don't remember. She is a big clumsy active yellow lab. Oh my goodness is she busy! She can run fast too! Sandy, our golden retriever, seems annoyed by Comet. I can't say I blame her! We also adopted a cat from the shelter. Back this winter a kitten hitched a ride in Marc's engine. We tried to keep her, but she was a true outdoor cat at heart. She darted out one day and we haven't seen her since. About 3 weeks ago we saw "the perfect cat" at Petsmart's adoption area. I called the lady from the shelter to make an appointment to adopt the cat. Well, "the perfect cat" was shy and would not come out of the cage. I completely understand...there were 4 kids dancing around trying to pick her up. Then there was the second choice. She wasn't too thrilled with our family either. Wouldn't you know the ONE cat I did not want initially is the one we came home with. We got this crazy active playful kitten...and it is a BOY! HA Can you see how this cat fits in with our family. Honestly, I am soooooo happy! He is the sweetest kitten I have ever seen. He plays AND he snuggles. He also hides plenty from a certain tortuous twosome...not naming names ;) I have a picture somewhere, but it is not on a computer. I will have to set aside time to get some recent photos on here.
Speaking of recent photos, you need to see one of my big kid, Josh. He is 5'7" and over 130 lbs! When did that happen???? He said some kids at school told him he got "buff"....LOL I asked him if he told them it was because his mom drug him to workout almost every day this summer. I don't think he got buff, but he is my little boy. This was our dinner conversation one night, and I nearly spit out my water when he told me he was buff. He then explained that most of his friends were either too skinny or got fat over the summer.
I have lots more to say, but I am just out of time. I have a quick errand to run before I hit the car rider lines.
Happy Summer...I am saying that because it is still over 100* with no end in sight!

My baby girl
Guess what I got to do today??? If you guessed that I got to send 3 kids to school AND go for a good run, you would have been correct. If you guessed that I got to enjoy some quiet, you are correct. If you guessed that I went to the school to take stuff to the nurse, you are correct. If you guessed that I got some reassurance from the nurse about the kids teacher, you are correct. So far though....the BEST thing that I have gotten to do was hold and rock my baby girl to sleep. I know, I know she is 3.5 and not really a baby anymore, but I miss the days of her snuggling with me before a nap. These nap days are really few and far between. I am sure the only reason she did fall asleep was because she got up at 6am. If you know how much of a morning person Hannah is NOT, you will know how big of a deal this was. I cherish this time because I know it doesn't last long....I did just send my biggest kid to 6th grade! The only reason I didn't keep holding her was because ...well, nature was calling.

Hannah's first haircut
This was a doozy of a day! I had set appointments for Caleb and Samantha to get their hair cut and then decided Hannah should get a trim. This was to be her very first cut. It was probably overdue...her hair was at her rear and since we had never cut it at all the ends were a little uneven. Caleb's stylist was running late and Caleb was in a joyous mood (read annoying). He was setting a very bad example for Hannah. See the girl in Hannah's before shot. I think she was slightly annoyed. Every time they did something stupid or funny she would text away on her phone. I would have loved to have been a fly on her facebook wall that day. I am sure it would include....
"you won't believe these kids..." "The little one just noticed a button on the mom's shoe. She pushed it. The mom told her if she pushed it, it would make her fly. She pushed it harder and then got mad when nothing happened.....", "Wow, that boy with the long hair is nuts...when are they going to come get him?" , "Gosh, even the big kid is bouncing around..."
Let's just say it was such a fun trip! I told Carmen to take her time when she came to get Caleb! Hannah did really well! I was afraid she would be traumatized, because her first experience in a salon was traumatic. Do you remember the hair incident? If not, I think you should read about it. You will have an 'oh no' with the first picture. Then you will gasp when you see the results. She never cried! She was pretty still and even made faces in the mirror. Of course leaving was just as embarrassing. I had a bunch of monkeys or something. As we were walking away Josh said, "I would be so embarrassed if I were you." Geez son, thanks a lot. He of course was part of the embarrassment. Now on to the photos!!!!!
Hannah's before shot.
The finished do. I didn't get a picture of the back, but we took 3 inches off.

Hannah's 3rd birthday...just a little late
I know, I am not busy or anything.....just a little late with Hannah's birthday post---oops!
Ok....maybe not. I can't figure out how to get the photos here for some reason. I know it has to do with me losing and then restoring. I just can't figure out where they are to upload...stupid I know.
***YAY! I found them! Well, Hannah is 3 as you can see :) She is old enough to understand birthdays. She is still pretty tiny. We finally graduated to 2T pants! We are working on potty training...nuf said! Goodness she is just amazing! She says, "I wub you momma" and will just give kisses for no reason. My heart is full of love for her...I am just so blessed! She has lots of dress up clothes and loves to be a princess. She also loves to just play. She can go into her room and play for a long time using her imagination. I can hear her talking to her animals and babies---it is just the cutest thing. Josh and Samantha did that also...Caleb didn't, but I am sure you knew that about him. LOL I forgot what it was like to have a child who would use her imagination like that. She has no desire to learn anything despite me trying to teach her letters and colors. Everything is purple. Trees are purple; her shirt is purple; the sky is purple. LOL
Me: "Hannah, what color are your BLACK shoes?"
Hannah: "PURPLE!"
Me: beats head against the wall
Hannah: laughs
Me: "no Hannah the shoes are black."
Hannah: "PURPLE"
sigh....she will get it, I hope.
All the letters are a "B" LOL I will not stress though. I can not compare all my children to the one who was writing many letters at age 2. She is her own unique princess. She is quite the story teller too. She also makes friends everywhere! She will just walk up to other kids and say "come on, let's play" and take off. She is a social butterfly. Goodness, I love her. If you have not had the chance to meet little Miss Hannah I think you should take the time. :)
"I am FREEEEEE"
Hannah had some cake this year.
