The photo challenge for myself is to learn something new about my camera! I am the queen of point and click. My camera can do more! I saw this rose this morning and thought it would make a great picture. Can you see my problem in the first picture? Sometimes the camera auto-focuses on something, but not what you want! I have nice in focus leaves, but a blurry rose. I had that problem in Lott, while taking a photo. I know my camera can do stuff, but I don't know how to use it. I decided to use this flower to try and figure it out...I didn't, but I did learn something new!
This is another attempt at trying to get the flower in focus instead of the leaves.
I flipped a few buttons and got this. I am not sure what I did though.
I kept flipping buttons and ended up with this! I didn't know my camera could do this. I don't know why it chose green to be the accent color. It took me a long time to figure out how to change it.
This was something called color swap. I am not really sure what it did though.
This was strange! I was trying to figure out how to accent the pink in the picture instead of the green. What I saw in my viewfinder was the pink flashing in different intensities. I pushed the button for a photo and came up with this.
YAY!!! I finally figured it out!
This is from the crepe myrtle tree...back to my focusing problem. My personal challenge for this week is to figure out how to focus on something manually. Hopefully, I will be able to post some awesome pictures next Monday.
I challenge you...my readers AND facebook friends to learn something new, OR take a photo without just clicking.

What kind of camera do you have? That is really really neat that it can do that. I would have to put my pictures into a photo editting program to do what you did with one color.
ReplyDeleteJenn, it is a Cannon Powershot. That feature was embedded in the "scene" option. I tried doing that in a photo editor a long time ago, and I gave up! I just couldn't figure it out. I really like it, and it does take great picture...given that I am not a great photographer!
