Monday

It seems everyone dreads Mondays. I am no exception! I would like to know why others dread Mondays. I have many reasons. Weekends in my house aren't necessarily full of down time...I do have 4 kids! Sunday's are just crazy busy, but I LOVE Sunday. My Sundays usually have little to no rest in them, so I am starting out Monday morning on EMPTY.  Of course the getting up early part of Monday is just yuck! I am so not a morning person, but most of you already know that. I can think of so many things that is just wrong about Monday! Here is my to do list from today.

  • wake up 2 kids
  • feed 2 kids
  • make 3 lunches
  • start a load of laundry
  • wake up 1 kid
  • feed 1 kid
  • get 2 kids on bus
  • try to wake up the last kid
  • feed last kid
  • get last kid dressed
  • get 1 kid on the bus
  • pack a snack and water for last kid
  • run
  • home and shower
  • more laundry
  • finish grocery list
  • get Hannah a snack
  • go get a birthday cake for Caleb
  • get Hannah a princess Halloween costume
  • feed Hannah (and me)
  • go to the grocery store
  • unload groceries
  • more laundry
  • get Hannah a snack
  • clean off table in preparation for homework
  • work on homework with 2 kids
  • get started on making 15 sandwiches (the weeks lunches)
  • more laundry
  • wash and bag grapes...and other fruits and veggies
  • last kid comes home from school, gets a snack and we leave
  • go to the chiropractor to get adjusted
  • come home and start dinner
  • get Caleb's gifts and cake ready for after dinner
  • eat dinner
  • clean up dinner
  • have cake
  • clean up cake
  • open presents clean up presents
  • get 4 kids clean and in bed
  • read for nearly an hour to the girls
  • read for 20 minutes to the boys
  • finish last load of laundry
  • crash and dread the next Monday
Ok, sure some of this is stuff that I do EVERY day. I only grocery shop on Monday. I also don't do my regular 3 daily loads of laundry on the weekend, so I have TONS of laundry on Monday. I don't want to put any off because then my daily three loads gets very overwhelming as the week goes on. Then nothing gets folded and put away. The mound would end up encompassing the couch, so no one can sit on it. It is just the grocery shopping, chiropractor adjustments, extra laundry, making the weeks worth of lunches, and the Monday homework (it is always the heaviest day) that makes it impossible to just sit down and breathe on a Monday. That my friends is why I do NOT like Monday!!!!
