We have passed this pine cone almost daily for the last 2 weeks. Hannah has decided she is big enough to walk around sometimes. ("YAY ME"...wondering how many people know what that is from) Hannah will NOT touch the pine cone. Usually she walks by looking at it saying "eeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww" If you have ever heard Hannah say this, it is hilarious. Today she stopped to look at it. I picked it up and she wanted no part of it, still with the "eeewww's" She bent down to look at it closer. I am not camera phone savy enough to have gotten the next picture. She picked it up and thought it was cool, then she felt something. I am guessing one of the little pointy things....it wasn't sharp. She jumped up, threw it, and let out the biggest "eeewwww" yet. The last picture was me trying to get her holding it. As you can see, I was not fast enough. I got her up and ewwwwing.

It is just so cute to watch her find new things. She gets so excited walking around and pointing at the trees. She will run up to each tree and say "tree", she asks about the roots and the rocks in the concrete. She is confused by the ground bushes...so am I. They are not grass, not flowers, but not really bushes. Oh well, it is the Woodlands. She is always pointing stuff out and squealing with delight now. I really love this age!
