God is in control!

Look two posts in one day! When was the last time that has happened.

There are a few things that stress me out...ok, no sarcastic comments here! One thing that has the ability to make me physically ill and act like a child is bad weather. I HATE bad weather, even thunderstorms. This whole Ike thing has me kind of freaked out though. A few days ago when the Ike was forcast to come straight up through Galveston Marc thought he would get at me by mentioning Ike. It didn't work because hurricanes never go exactly where predicted 5 days out. I was not in the least worried...ok, maybe a little but I sure wasn't going to show it. Sure enough the next day it was forcast to go somewhere else. Every four hours the forcast changed. NOW it is back. I am NOT happy and an on the verge of physically ill. I am sure that will come tomorrow while Marc is at work and I am taking apart a trampoline and putting our little piece of toys-r-us up in the garage. I know our house will not make it through a hurricane no matter how far inland we are. Well, we went to church tonight and put on the happy face. Church was really nice tonight. Marc and I have an hour for ourselves after we drop the kids off and before our class starts. Tonight we were chatty. Sunday in our SS class we talked about anger and how it was a sin and how being angry at God is a sin...not gonna get into that now! Anyway, Fred did mention our health struggle with the boys. He did ask if I ever got angry with God. I said yes, but not because of the boys. There have been other issues that got me angry and if you have been reading this blog for a LONG time you most likely know what those issues were. Amazingly, I don't get angry with God because of the boys. I have 100% faith that God is in control. He can heal them or not. If He chooses not then I believe there is a reason. Many adults who don't know Christ have to be broken before they realize the awesomeness of God. Ok, I don't know that that was a word. LOL My sweet son is a child, but was broken when he came to Christ. I think if my son can have that much faith in the midst of his worst health time of his life...well, I don't remember where I was going with that thought. Joshua had every reason in the world to be mad at God, yet he chose to love HIM and want to be near HIM. How amazing is that. If I can have 100% faith (even when I don't like it) in God with my boys health, why can't I have faith that He will bring us through Ike? Sure, we have been paying off debt for a while now, but are in no way prepared to be able to buy another house, or fix this one. Is that really what I am worried about? I think I am more worried about the fact that what does or doesn't happen is beyond my control. God is in control. God can see the big picture. If our house does not survive Ike. God will still be there. If our house does survive Ike, God will still be there. If one of our brothers or sisters house does not survive Ike, God will still be there and so will I.

Don't know how I got off on the rambling. I think it was more me trying to cousel myself that God will still be there. If you actually read all of this, please say a prayer for anyone who will be affected by Ike.
