I can't put into words how much fun my family is. Sure we are just a normal family...ok, big by today's standards, but normal. We live on a modest income in a house that is way too small for us, but we are happy! We have everyday stresses just like everyone else. I will admit I was just a tiny bit nervous last week about the stock market thing. Not too much though. I have faith that God will provide for all our needs. Notice I said needs and not wants! There are lots of things I want...a bigger house one of them, but it is not something I need. We are just fine with 2 to a room. Now if God decides He wants us to have another kid...well, I don't know where we would find room! Anyway, not really sure what the point of this was other than to say we are having fun as individuals AND as a family. Let's see if I can do a person by person update...
Joshua is amazing. He is a great big brother and a huge help. He is still taking guitar and has asked about playing football. We have a one sport rule here. Marc works long hours and I can't be in two places at once. I also want to preserve our family time. If we are doing nothing but running from one ball field to another we couldn't sit down to dinner, have family talks, read, sing, etc. Next season will be football for him. He is in the children's choir at church. He loves it. They are going to sing in the services next month. He is excited about that.
Samantha is growing into a beautiful young girl. I will NOT say woman yet! She is only 7...almost 8 as she likes to point out. She is playing soccer right now. She is doing great! Much better than the last time she played. She was afraid to stick her foot into the group of feet to get the ball. Now she just jumps right on in. She is doing great in school. So far she has perfect attendance and all A's...she is my child after all ;) She is also in the choir and loves it. I just found out today she will also be singing in the service with Josh. Not sure how she feels about that. I flash back to when she was 3 or 4 during their performance. She and Josh had their own little parts in a musical and well....it was quite funny. She dug her feet into the stage and would not move. Josh tried to take her hand to guide her along and he ended up slipping and falling, all the while her little feet never moved. She does like attention though, so maybe it will be different.
Caleb is my little man. He is hard to put into words. He is one of those kids that you just have to know! He is doing very well in PreK. He comes home and has learned stuff and always fill me in. He shows me all his pictures and tells me every little detail. I am happy because this is stuff I have tried in vain to teach him the last 2 years! He says he doesn't like school though. His teacher told me he is doing well and fits in. He even has friends. The other people at the school who have had contact with him love him AND his hair. LOL He is a joy!
Hannah, my little Hannah. She is such a character. She does something new everyday. She usually has us all rolling on the floor laughing. She can be walking through a room and if she hears music or someone singing she will immediately start dancing...even as she is trying to walk. She talks all the time! We still don't understand half of it, but she is very vocal, especially when it comes to likes and dislikes! She likes church, the Y, and the grocery store (only if she can have samples, other wise I pretend the child throwing a fit is not mine). She also likes going to the chiropractor. I know, crazy. She runs up and waits for her turn. Sometimes she even gets up on the table and lays down. She is into babies, puppies, and well anything mommy does or would do. She is a little tiny force in this house.
Marc is Marc. He works and comes home. Little does he know I will be signing him up for the MS150 tomorrow! LOL He likes going to church too, but has to leave early because of work. He goes on Wednesday nights too. He is going to the Link which is Curtis Jones' class on Elijah. He really likes it too!
ME, I can't really say much new is going on. I joined the Gathering Choir. We sing in the church services most Sunday's. I am loving it! I also decided to sing in the Christmas program. I can't wait! I really miss singing. I don't have one of those voices everyone stops to hear, but I can sing on key, read music, etc....thanks Mrs. Crenshaw. I have also decided I want to learn how to play guitar too. I am attempting to teach myself using Josh's guitar and books. So far it isn't too hard! Still running, not as much as I would like. Life has just gotten in the way. I will be running the half marathon again in January, so I can't slack too much. I want to beat my time from last year, so I need to pick it up!
I guess that covers most everything. If you actually read all of it, thank you. Please feel free to comment. I love comments and miss getting them. Some of you...and you know who you are...used to comment all the time. I know, life or being on Oprah has gotten in your way too.
Thanks for catching me up!
